The Situation
Life Styles, Inc. – a community based provider in Fayetteville, Arkansas – received a grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation to support an evaluation of their operational and programmatic services in comparison to national standards and benchmarks for excellence. The evaluation would be used to develop a futures planning process to help define the future of Life Styles, its impact on the individuals served, and their influence on northwest Arkansas.
What CQL Did
CQL delivered a combined evaluation of values alignment and organization responsiveness based on our Quality Measures 2005 SM.
Our Shared Values Alignment process was used to evaluate Life Style’s collective values that guide organizational behavior and culture. Following an organizational self-assessment, CQL staff and Life Styles’ decision making team met to:
- Clarify the focus on teamwork and the need for common focus and vision
- Identify the basic values of the organization
- Assess the organizational strengths in stakeholder knowledge about and actions that support the organizational values
- Identify gaps where actions may not be in support of organizational values
- Create ideas/plans that address the gaps
