The Situation
Alabama’s Medicaid agency certifies health care facilities for participation in the Medicare and/or Medicaid programs and ensures compliance with federal and state standards.
In 2006, the agency sought assistance to complete the annual surveys of the state’s Intermediate Care Facilities for Persons with Mental Retardation (ICF/MR) program.
What CQL Did
CQL provided a team of qualified, federally trained surveyors to conduct certification surveys of the state’s five ICF/MR providers, in accordance with federal standards.
